KANGAROO POINT PARKLANDS OPENING DAY OPEN DAY AT ST. MARY’S JANUARY 24 2010 Come and enjoy History being made at Kangaroo Point and enjoy the Opening of the New Parklands. And at the same time, support St. Mary’s as we open our Church and site to the people of Brisbane as never before. There will be Sung Eucharist at 9.00am followed by the Park Opening at 10.30. Our grounds will be opened to the public via two gates and we encourage everyone to join us on the Day. St. Mary’s Open Day is officially from 11.00am till 6.00pm All Parking is off site - Marquee from the Pineapple Hotel till 6.00pm - Great Barbeque Steaks and Burgers. - Stalls, Static Displays; Children’s Entertainment. - Delightful music from Jazz to Classical and Pop. - Art Exhibition from Members of the Half Dozen Group of Artists. - Be guided around this historic church and enjoy the spirituality of this wonderful site in our City. click here for Schedule of Entertainment... |

ST MARY’S OPEN DAY - 24 JANUARY, 2010
ATTENTION ALL PARISIONERS AND FRIENDS OF ST MARY’S We are planning to hold a Food and Produce stall on 24 January and need the help of all Parishioners. We would like to sell produce, such as jams, relishes, pickled onions, chutneys etc. and ask you to assist by making some of your favourite condiments If you prefer to bake cakes and slices or biscuits, we would also be most grateful for any donations of baked items. We are also looking for craft items to sell. Please speak to Andrew Guthrie or Joan Zivkovich if you are able to assist in any way. click here for more info... |
PARISH OPERATION IN JANUARY
Sunday service times will remain the same. Wednesday morning Eucharist services at St Mary’s will resume on 3 February, 2010. After the Parkland is opened on January 24, it is the hope that Daily Prayers will be offered in the Church at 12 Noon each day. Tuesday Eucharists at St Vincents will resume on Tuesday 5 January, 2010 The Rector will be available throughout January and can be called on the Parish telephone number, 3391 4071. If he is unable to answer, messages can be left on the messagebank. For urgent attention, he can be contacted on his mobile 0415 911 492. |
