COX (Choir Director) |
|
A graduate of Dartmouth College (U.S.A.) and the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Emily has worked overseas on numerous occasions with noted specialists in her field. She is known widely for her work as a festival and workshop director, adjudicator and choral educator for all age groups. As a conductor and chorus master with a broad repertoire, Emily's work is in demand with professional performing arts companies, such as The Queensland Orchestra, and major arts festivals. Her ensemble, Canticum Chamber Choir recently returned from its appearance as an invited Guest Choir at the prestigious 7th World Symposium on Choral Music, held in Kyoto, Japan, followed by a successful concert tour of central Japan. Through Canticum's concert series 'Choral Music for Brisbane', as well as through the innovative repertoire she explores with all her other ensembles, she continually introduces Brisbane audiences to many unusual and beautiful works. |
